Front Desk & Hospitality Associate

We’re looking for a friendly, organized, and flexible team player who’s a self-starter. This part-time role (20-25 hours/week) includes a flexible schedule and holidays off. The Day-To-Day:
As the Front Desk & Hospitality Associate, you will take care of all front desk logistics and assist with community management tasks.
Front Desk Logistics:
Serve as a point of contact for members and guests within the Gravitate Community.
Greet members and guests with a warm and welcoming demeanor.
Receive, process, sort, and organize all incoming mail.
Anticipate member and guest needs before they arise, including brewing coffee, restocking amenities, and keeping the space tidy throughout the day.
Be available to customers in person, via phone, and email.
Community Management Support:
Use excellent communication skills to respond to members with thoughtfulness and professionalism, and communicate all member-related issues to the community management team.
Support with member onboarding and orienting both first-time members and short-term customers.
Help maintain accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions.
Collaborate with the team to ensure a seamless experience for potential and current customers/members.
Qualifications:
Exceptional interpersonal skills: You genuinely enjoy connecting with people, actively listening, and fostering positive relationships.
Self-Starter with Strong Autonomy: Highly motivated, comfortable working independently and solving problems.
Excellent Communication and Multitasking Abilities: Comfortable with both written and verbal communication, and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Tech-Savvy and Adaptable: Comfortable troubleshooting basic tech issues (Wi-Fi, printers) and quickly learning new software.
Hospitality/Service Experience Preferred: Prior experience in a customer-facing role is a significant advantage.
The Details:
Part Time: Shifts are scheduled during our operating hours of Monday-Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with potential for occasional evening and weekend work.
The hourly compensation range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00. The successful candidate's actual compensation will be based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to work experience, job related knowledge, skills and professional qualifications.
10 Holidays off per year.
Necessary technology needed to perform job duties provided by Gravitate.
This position is on-site at Gravitate’s locations in the Des Moines metro. We are looking for someone autonomous, self-driven, empowered, and comfortable managing the role with remote support from the rest of our team (via Zoom, Slack, and phone) who are spread across our other locations.
